The patented ShockStop Suspension Stem smooths out road imperfections, reducing fatigue and strain. Whether you're on a local group ride, or exploring gravel back roads, the ShockStop Stem will make your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable. If you have a Canyon, Giant or Scott bike, it may have an oversized steerer tube. If you're unsure if your steerer tube is standard or oversized, please email us at support@redshiftsports.com with the make, model, year and size of your bike and we're happy to help you.
The minimal design of the ShockStop Stem blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of modern bikes, while reducing fatigue and strain. Along with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, this system works together to suspend the rider and smooth out rough terrain on the bike you already own, making your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable. Great for bikepacking, gravel biking, road cycling and e-bikes.

How is the ShockStop Stem different from other suspension stems?
There are a lot of ways the ShockStop is different - so many in fact, we wrote a whole blog post about it. Check it out here. How do I measure my steerer tube diameter?
The easiest way to determine your steerer tube size is to use a pair of calipers to directly measure the diameter or take your bike to the local bike shop and they will be able to measure it for you. Alternatively, most of the time a manufacturer will list this under their specifications in the Frame/Fork section. Make sure you are looking at the correct model year as these sizes can change year to year.
The 1-1/8" ShockStop Stem is the standard size used by most modern bikes. The 1-1/4” version can now be used on popular brands such as Giant and Canyon bikes, if you're unsure if you need a 1-1/4" size please email us at support@redshiftsports.com and we're happy to help.

Love it!
My rural roads in Alabama are the worst chip sealed, pot holed roads ever. This really smooth things out.
RedShift ShockStop stem
Excellent documentation - exactly what I needed, to just take the edge off the rough stuff.
Works Great
As is my habit, I did much research on this before I made the purchase while the item itself is a bit. Pricey, it will engineered, and does not add a lot of weight to my bike. I am concerned about adding too much weight to my new gravel bike, and as a result, I avoided some of the lower priced items that are on the market. The suspension system works terrific and it’s a much appreciated addition, especially on the roof, gravel and single paths that we have here and Colorado Springs much recommended
My hand numbness is much better
Over the years, I have tried all the recommended fixes for hand numbness each with minimal improvement. This stem has made a significant step forward. I now have thus stem on 3 of my 4 bikes and also on a friends bike.
I love it
I put the stem on my gravel bike because I get numbness and tingling into my hands after a wrist surgery. This allows me to ride for hours with out symptoms. I wouldn’t ride with out it.
Gamechanger
I am astounded to how good this stem is regarding comfort. On our uneven country lanes it really does iron out the bumps. I bought this as I have Parkinson's Disease and it was hoped I might increase my duration in the saddle. While this is still an ongoing test I recommend it to all road bike users. This may be an expensive one but it's a quality item and you get great support from Redshift. It's worth paying the extra pennies for the result you get.
