Titanium hardware and weight-reducing CNC machining takes the ShockStop PRO Suspension Stem to the next level of performance. Enjoy the same shock-reducing benefits of the standard ShockStop Stem with 15% less weight and a premium finish. Whether you're on a local group ride, or exploring gravel back roads, the ShockStop Stem will make your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable.
The new ShockStop PRO Stem blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of modern bikes, while reducing fatigue and strain. Along with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, this system works together to suspend the rider and smooth out rough terrain on the bike you already own, making your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable.
Benefits:
• Go further - reduce fatigue from bumps and vibrations• Ride faster - energy that is normally wasted suspending your body is converted into forward motion
• Take control - customize your suspension feel to float over obstacles and maintain control over rough terrain

How do I choose the right length and angle for my bike?
We put together a set of instructions that can help you determine the length and angle of your existing stem and provide guidance on what to chose based on riding style - check it out here. How is the ShockStop Stem different from other suspension stems?
There are a lot of ways the ShockStop is different - so many in fact, we wrote a whole blog post about it. Check it out here. Can I put the ShockStop Stem on my mountain bike?
Yes and No. The suspension travel on the ShockStop (1-2cm) is optimized for the types of bumps you typically encounter on roads and light trails. So, the ShockStop Stem is not going to provide the same suspension feel as a typical mountain bike front fork suspension, which will have closer to 10-15cm of travel. However, if you use your bike primarily on the lighter trails (i.e. not aggressive downhill) and you’re looking to take the edge off of an otherwise stiff frame (e.g. a bike with a rigid front fork), then the ShockStop could be exactly what you’re looking for. The ShockStop Stem is not designed to be used on a mountain bike riding on technical downhill singletrack and if used in these conditions could become damaged and lead to serious injury. To read more Frequently Asked Questions, click here.

A Solid Upgrade
I am so glad I replaced my stock stem with a shock stop stem. My hands and my neck are much happier on my daily commute as well as gravel bike rides.
New Stem
The suspension stem is awesome. I had sore thumbs every ride and couldn’t wait to get off the bike. With the new stem you feel the bump but no vibration. All bikes should come with this stem.
Awesome!
Fantastic, makes a huge difference, removes all fatigue from hands and kiester.
Performs as I'd hoped.
I bought the 55mm +6 stem. The stem itself is great, has just that little bit of give to help get through potholes or bumps on a track. In fact I get surprised by the kick in my saddle (regular post) if I forget to get up before a bump. I got the 55mm shortest edition and its pretty amazing they can dial in some give in such a short length. The downsides are that the install was pretty fiddly. Because the stem preloads on the handle bars repositioning requires quite a lot of unscrewing before it releases its grip, it makes for a longer than expected alignment phase on the installation - compared to adjusting handlebar angle with a regular stem. The square profile also is a bit awkward with fittings that I had on a circular stem prior - but not a deal breaker. I was also surprised the redshift stem did not contain centering marks on the stem itself. When mm differences can make a difference in bar angle I really want some precise centering marks to work off. I bought redshift bars as well and they were also fairly unhelpful as the markings there were not very useful and weren't even symmetrical. In that regard much worse than the cannondale bars and stem I took off.
Ready to put them on all my drp bar bikes!
Got both on my gravel bike. I love them 💗
Increased comfort and reduced fatigue on gravel bike
I tend to ride road, gravel and single-track locally in the Cairngorms, so did experience discomfort and numbness on longer, lumpier rides. I fitted the stem before a 3 week bikepacking trip and found an immense difference, increasing comfort and reducing fatigue. Some rides need a mountain bike, but I recommend the stem (and seatpost) for increasing comfort and enjoyment on gravel bikes.
